Two-Day Boot Camp

A powerful 2-day session (which can be used either as a stand alone developmental session or as the initial session in a full Academy program) provides a foundational introduction and overview of the LGL Leadership adaptation of the West Point Developmental Process. We call it The LGL Way and it is based on the core tenants of Character, Empathy, Trust and Accountability (CETA).

The first responsibility of a leader is to know and lead him or her “self”. No one can make a person lead—this is a personal decision. Throughout this Boot Camp experience, participants will work with LGL Leadership instructors to understand leaders and leadership and to know themselves as leaders. They will be introduced to methods that can be employed immediately to look inside both themselves and your organization. They will also begin to appreciate that leadership truly is a team sport.

When Boot Camp draws to a close, your team will think differently about their “leader” selves, their responsibilities and the role they play. They will appreciate the ways they can look at, listen to, and better engage others within your organization. And finally, they will appreciate that what you’ve set out to do isn’t easy. Journeys, almost by definition, evoke a mental image of a long‐term trek; and your organizational development as empathic leaders of character will be no different. Your team will be positioned, upon completion, to pursue this developmental journey either organically, or with our continued instruction, coaching and mentoring.
